Kate Semple – Writer. Teacher. Mom.
That pretty much sums me up. I’ve been a writer since the age of five. I’ve written everything from angsty young adult “coming of age” stories to fantasy to fan fiction. Not to mention college essays and a massive number of ghost-written articles for a wide variety of websites.
In fact, I love writing so much I became an English teacher. While I taught writing to middle and high school students, I kept writing fiction for fun and the sake of my sanity.
When my son was born and I wanted to stay home with him, I went looking for ways to earn money with my writing. I found a number of different ways, most of which didn’t pay enough to make it worthwhile.
Then one day it hit me. I love writing. I love teaching about writing. Many people want to learn about writing. I’m not a math teacher, but even I can add that equation up.
These days, my focus is on helping others develop both their writing skills and their ability to make writing and self-publishing a profitable career. I’m building my own career at the same time, learning and sharing as I go.
If you’re interested in building your own writing and self-publishing career, you’ve come to the right place. Let me know what I can do to help!
